My House and Your Home
A Poem
Oh little dear
Is this your house?
Pale and all dark
Hiding in the woods
Why don’t you try
A better color and place
I’m sure you’ll find
Let me help you once
Spend a little more
Expensive yet it glows
Want to impress more
My house is my status quo
Since I talked a more
He listened it all slow
My friend he little squirrel
Question me into trouble
This little home I built
On your old door sash
Yes, it is dark
Colorless, pale and cheap
Home is for my treasure
My love my little ones
Protection, comfort, and warmth
What I need the most
I am not to impress
Home is for my affection
My little dark, pale home
Is the love of my life
Oh little dear
I’m sorry I understand
No need to impress
Home is for love
Thanks for the lesson
Let me give a try
I’ll convert this back
My house to a loving home
